World tuberculosis day 2026 11 Marzo CLINICAL AND TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH TO END TUBERCULOSIS

The meeting brings together national and international experts, representing the academic, clinical, and public health worlds, for a multidisciplinary discussion on key topics in tuberculosis prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research. We will discuss asymptomatic and latent tuberculosis, the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic platforms, the use of innovative biomarkers, and the management of drug-resistant tuberculosis and tuberculosis-HIV co-infection in Europe.

Special attention will be paid to new frontiers of research, including clinical trials, advances in drug discovery and development, the social determinants of tuberculosis, post-tuberculosis pulmonary sequelae, and the state of the art in tuberculosis vaccines. Discussion sessions will foster dialogue between research and clinical practice, with the aim of identifying concrete proposals for improving procedures, clinical outcomes, and disease control strategies
